Signode Packaging Systems introduces the ET-460 End Tagger, a system designed to automate lumber tagging to improve packaging productivity and enhance the aesthetics of retail lumber loads. The automated ET-460 eliminates the manual tagging of lumber loads, resulting in consistent, uniform lumber tagging.

Simple to use and easy to operate, the ET-460 can be easily incorporated into the layout of most lumber mills and treating operations. Capable of accommodating varying sizes of dimensional lumber and panel products, the ET-460 is easily programmed to automatically tag loads of any configuration. The operator simply chooses the appropriate thickness, width, length, grade, and pack size. Once the information is entered into the PLC, the end tagger indexes to the load, and feeds, cuts and staples a tag to the end of each board. An entire load can be tagged in approximately one minute.
