Breda, the Netherlands (April 11, 2006) – Zip-Pak announces that German fish food company sera® has revamped its sera® KOI Professional brand fish food by switching from rigid to resealable flexible stand-up pouch packaging. A press-to-close zipper on each package provides convenience and ease-of-use to store unfinished portions of the premium food pellets in original packaging without the need for transferring into other storage options. Sera purchased a new horizontal/form/fill/seal machine from HDG to produce the resealable stand-up pouches. “Sera KOI Professional is sold in multi-portion size bags, so having a resealable zipper makes it very convenient for users to store remaining product and keep it fresh,” said Guido Burgsmüller, head of sales at HDG. “Not only is the new packaging functional, it also stands out on retail shelves, brightly displaying the sera brand name for maximum exposure at point-of-sale.
