Norwood Marking Systems, recognized worldwide for its high-quality thermal transfer and hot stamp printing equipment, announces the appointment of Fred McMahon as National Account Manager for customers in the pharmaceutical, medical device and cosmetics industries. McMahon is responsible for building awareness for Norwood’s marking and coding products and developing strong customer relationships in these markets.

“As pharmaceutical and medical device manufacturers work to satisfy the FDA mandate for point-of-use product identification, we’re seeing a surge in interest in Norwood printers. “I am excited to join the Norwood team,” noted Fred McMahon. “The company has a great reputation in the industry for innovation and quality equipment and service. We have a fantastic opportunity to expand the company’s presence in the pharmaceutical, medical device and cosmetics industries.”

About Norwood Marking Systems
Norwood Marking Systems, a division of Illinois Tool Works, developed and introduced premium hot stamp imprinters to the food industry over 40 years ago. Today, Norwood designs and manufactures a range of thermal transfer printers, hot stamp imprinters as well as ink and embossing printers that print variable information on packaging materials and labels. These systems bring increased security and tracking with real-time data such as UPC, lot and production codes, expiration and sell-by dates, which are produced in-line as products are packaged.
