MicroJet HRP Hand-Held II Controller – Product Release

The next generation of MicroJet HRP controller platforms is here. The all new portable MicroJet HRP Hand-Held II controller was designed to be easy to use with common MicroJet HRP controller software or PC GUI interface. Whether servicing multiple production lines or one dedicated line, the Hand-Held II’s faster processor and improved memory make it easy to store and print any message, logo or font.

MicroJet HRP Hand-Held II Features:

  • 128 MB of memory vs. 16MB on current HRP controller.
  • Hi-Res 7” Color Touch Screen
  • Drag and drop message editing supported with pre-existing controllers
  • Sealed rubber Qwerty type keypad with tactile feedback
  • Industrial impact resistance housing
  • Same web interface as the MicroJet HRP Controller for remote file and print operations

Operating power is supplied from the Print Head it’s connected to or the accessory hub and can also be powered directly from a 15VDC power supply (sold separately).

Communications ports include 2 DB9 serial ports, a USB port and an Ethernet connection. The Hand-Held II will only support the HRP product platform and is not compatible with networking software at this time. The firmware release supporting the hand held controller begins with version 7.1.

The Hand-Held II controller will support up to two daisy chains of MicroJet HRP heads with the limitation of 8 cartridges per daisy chain for a total of 16, ½” MicroJet HRP Heads, or 8, 1” MicroJet HRP Heads.

The procedure for upgrading firmware for the Handheld II is simplified with use of USB file transfer. New firmware will be downloaded from the website to a USB drive. A new function in utility menu is selected for upgrading application firmware. The Hand-Held II is then upgraded directly from the file on USB drive.

The controller kit contains the controller, rear mounting bracket, serial cable/power cable (Female to Female D9) and documentation.
