 ITW Stretch Packaging Systems

ITWSPS began as Mima in 1976. Since then, the company has become a world leader in stretch packaging technology by offering customers cost-effective solutions to their toughest packaging challenges.

ITWSPS began manufacturing stretch film in 1990, first blown, then cast. This makes ITWSPS unique in the industry with a Single Source approach to stretch packaging. By manufacturing both stretch film and stretch wrapping machinery, the company can offer a total package by matching the performance of both the stretch film and machinery to the requirements of the application.

Thirty years of manufacturing experience has given ITWSPS a thorough understanding of the art and science of designing and building the most durable, reliable and cost-effective stretch wrapping machines available anywhere. With thousands of successful machine placements in all types of applications, ITWSPS machines and stretch films have proven time and time again to be well equipped for the day-in, day-out rigors of even the most demanding industrial environments.

Our product range includes:

Turntable Series The Raptor Turntable Series contains both semi-automatic and automatic models. Turntables are designed to handle stable loads up to 4,000 pounds. The pallet is placed on the turntable and spins while the film is applied to the load.

Rotary Arm Series The Cobra Overhead Series contains both semi-automatic and automatic models. These stretch wrappers, using an overhead rotary arm, are ideally suited to handle unstable, very light or very heavy loads. Pallets can be placed on the floor, allowing weights up to the floor's capacity. The load remains stationary while the arm and film carriage rotate around it applying the wrap.

Rotary Ring Series With its patented rotary ring, the Octupus Series of automatic stretch wrappers is designed for high volume situations ranging from 50 loads per hour to 120+ loads per hour. As with the Cobra, the pallet remains stationary while the rotary ring descends around the load. The film carriage rotates around the ring and wraps the load.

Octo-Thread Film Carriage The new Octo-Thread carriage with its W film threading pattern provides simplified film threading with improved operator ergonomics.

Wrapping Film ITWSPS manufactures several types of stretch film for use in virtually every hand or machine application. Solutions are available with ITW Stretch Packaging Systems including blown film, cast film, machine wrap and hand wrap.
